The wifi cables go under the heatsink... Also, the best thermal paste is Gelid GC Extreme. It doesn't thermally degrade until 140c, unlike Kryonaut which thermally degrades at 80c. I'm assuming for some reason MSI used a paste similar to kryonaut because this laptop is notorious for overheating.

We replaced our battery from normal wear and tear and it was working great, even unplugged, but my daughter ran Minecraft on it until the battery was at 3% basically. Now its showing this error and not charging. Do you think we got too cheap of a replacement battery? It is 3rd party I'm pretty sure. (Hubby bought it)

excelent detail, i never disassembled anything like this and thanks to your explaing very meticulously i was able to replace the screen and it worked. I had a small problem with putting on the new screen where the hinges go and i heard a faint popping noise and there was a small crack when I opened the screen. It did not affect the screen at all though, fingers crossed. If it wasn't for your video though I don't think I could have done it. I watch 5 videos prior and didn't feel confident until i saw yours. thank you so much.

You are the man. For this type of advice, do you know how much Best Buy Greek Squad would charge?! At least $200+, but you did it for free. Definitely worth paying you extra. I have a budget HP laptop, for around $200, but it is 11th Gen Intel. I installed Windows at home, al my life and never faced this nonsense from Intel.

Quick note, I had the Greek version of this laptop and the tabs for the adhesive strips on the back of the LCD screen were on the bottom for me. So some models are a little different but roughly the same

Thank you for this video. I repaired the speakers for this model a while back but forgot the steps. Its a good model but to change the simple speakers you need to do heart surgery...

I just ran into this. This was an issue with the windows installation tool. At least in my case. The install tool was not seeing my new Samsung 990 1TB. Bios was. This was a drive upgrade for my acer nitro laptop. I figured I would put a new drive in, install fresh windows and as an upside maybe getting rid of any bloatware. Put in the new drive and... nothing. Not seen by windows installer but alive and well in bios. After a 4 hour rabbit hole which included multiple posts by Microsoft on their website blaming bios and updating bios and blah blah, I had updated my bios, tryed the fix posted here and many other things. No dice. So, after all that, luckily my laptop has two m.2 slots. I put my original drive back in and the new Samsung in slot 2, downloaded magician and simply cloned the old drive. What do you know.... No issues with it. Drive was seen and cloned perfectly. Took out the old drive and put the new one in the first slot and boom. New drive with all the bells and whistles functioning. Updated drive firmware , enabled full performance mode, ran my checks and benchmarks with no issues and getting read speeds of close to 7k. Again, this was purely an issue with the windows installer. Samsung doesn't have a stand alone driver available (which is on them) so when doing the fresh install windows can't talk to the drive. Simple as that. My acer has no setting in bios to turn off virtualization (Acer's nonsense of limited bios settings) so that was out of my control and couldn't try it. If it wasn't for the laptop working so well now, I'd load up the windows installation and try a fresh install now that the drive has a copy of windows on it.. but I'm done messing around and just want to use my laptop. In the end, I'm putting these issues on both Samsung for not having a standalone driver and Microsoft for not updating their install tool.
